Boss Time!

Farah has finally met her match in Celsius, as they both has some wicked martial arts. Like Farah, she makes Swallow Dance a staple of her moveset. She is also a fan of dancing around your attacks with Mirage, then following up with one of Farah's endgame moves, Chi. A blast of energy sends characters flying, and it does a heavy amount of damage as well. She also has a monster combo-move called Frost Shear, where she advances into you while smacking you around six times - almost always followed with another Chi to send you flying and dying. On Hardcore mode, Celsius can also use Farah's most powerful Mystic Arte, Maximum Burst, which will pound you with a trio of increasingly powerful Chi blasts, guaranteeing death for anyone in front of her.

Magic-wise, Celsius is no slouch either. She has every ice spell, from Ice Needles, to Freeze Lancer, to Blizzard, to Absolute. It feels like she doesn't use her magic as often as her martial skills, but sometimes she'll decide she's having a bad day and will chain-cast Blizzard at you. When she starts charging a spell, some icicles rain down around her, knocking anyone they hit to the ground. This means that if you're right beside her when she starts casting, you'll get knocked over and be unable to interrupt her spell.

Fighting her, you want to rely on fire, fire, and also some more fire. Reid should be equipped with a Flamberge, and your boom-caster should be using Eruption and Flame Wall. Eruption will occupy her for a longer amount of time, giving you room to breathe. She can dance out of the way, though. Flame Wall, on the other hand, will do one solid hit for a lot of damage. Also, if Flame Wall misses, it will leave behind a flame trap that she will run into.

Once you defeat her, you'll get Summon Celsius. She will leap onto the great wolf Fenrir, and then Fenrir will roar and blast enemies to the right, doing damage. Celsius will then follow up with a giant beam which does a whole ton! It also has a chance to inflict Freeze.

Alright, spell time. What happens when you fringe Celsius?

The first spell you get will be Freeze Lancer. The caster fires spears of ice forward, hitting everything in front of them. The area of effect is the entire screen tall, so there's no dodging Freeze Lancer unless you're behind the caster when it goes off.

10 1 Nurse is the first allheal spell you get. It's not a very practical spell, but it's the first multi-heal you get. The casting time is very long, and even when it goes off it still takes a while for the effect to heal you. A bunch of nurses run in toss out medpacks to heal each character. As a neat quirk, though, you can revive a character right before they start tossing and that character will get healed too, so just make sure everyone's standing when the actual heal effect comes out and you'll get along fine.

12 15 Blizzard is a full-screen arte, one of two in the game. When cast, the entire field will fill with a raging blizzard, damaging every enemy on or off the screen. The downside of this spell is the craymel conflict - between Heal, Nurse and Blizzard, you can only have two. As such, this spell often goes unused.

10 10 If you fringe Celsius and Efreet, you get +Freeze Guard. Generally it's a good idea to keep both elements in the same cage, but against certain encounters it can help to separate them and grant immunity to Freeze. It's a passive skill, so as long as you have it it's active all the time.

10 7 Celsius and Gnome will give Resist, which boosts defense. Like most buff spells, this one goes unused by just about everybody.
