Part 23: Ep. 17: You're No Buddy 'Til Some Bunny Loves You

---

: Last time on MySims Agents: The search for P.W. was on! But no sooner had Special Agent Sam arrived than he discovered that a man named Preston Winthrop had just disappeared... was he too late? Were we too late? Only time would tell!

---

Beebee told us that she last saw Preston in the area down this path. We follow it and find ourselves in this little area off to the east of the main lodge.

I should look for clues connected to Preston's disappearance.

The ranger station is locked, bolted from the inside. We're just heading over to check out the snowblower when Gino texts us!

Damn, Gino, we're doing this for you for free out of the goodness of our agent-y hearts. Quit trash-talking our dudes behind their backs.

If we dig in this snowpile...

Well, that looks like incontrovertible proof of Preston's fate to me. Maybe Agent Vic Vector would be interested? He's right here. Let's go talk to him.

I need more information about yetis. Anything you can tell me that might help?

Or we could do that.

Hey dude, a yeti is huge! How could he just vanish like a ninja?!

A ninja, huh?

... now I want Vic's job. Damn. Anyway, Buddy's over here too, so let's check in. Sometimes he comes up with surprisingly helpful tidbits!

What do you think about all this, Buddy?

I always wanted to be a yeti when I grew up. Or a game-show host that can fly!

Thanks, Buddy!

No sign of Preston or the yeti. We could look for footprints with our magnifying glass, but obviously, if there were footprints, they would show up clearly in the snow without us having to look for them. Obviously. So we should go look around in the other areas now!

We've just returned to the parking lot where we started when BREEP BREEP

... heh.

Bunny! The snow bunny will jump and burrow under the snow if Sam gets anywhere near it, but Buddy can go right up to it without a problem. Because Buddy is a friend to all mammals.

There's nothing currently interesting out in front of the lodge. Sam moves to the patio, which is also largely uninteresting, although it gives him the chance to warm up:

Now waterlogged--because he jumped in there still wearing his parka and boots--Sam moves on to investigate the ski lift at the back of the property.

Having looked everywhere outside, we head back to the lodge. Time to go inside and talk to people. On the way there we get BEEP'd again.

And to think, Gino was worried. Pffft.

We catch up with Evelyn.

Any thoughts on the case?

I think I should have worn something warmer, Sam.

No kidding.

I'll try to wrap this up quickly. Do you really think there might be a yeti?

I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, I think we should focus on Preston. He's our P.W. and he's the key.

OK, time to get to work. I'll talk to you later, Evelyn.

Rosalyn is nearby, so we try out our Sammish charm on her.

I need more information about yetis. Anything you can tell me that might help?

We're all here for the same reason, Agent Rosalyn. Why don't we work together?

: Let's just not get in each other's way, okay?

Hm. Well, sorry to bother you, then. I'll have to do this on my own.

Wow, that didn't work at all! Let's move on. Beebee is over by the fireplace.

Beebee, I need to talk to you about what happened.

Okay, um, what did you want to talk about?

What can you tell me about your boyfriend?

Preston Winthrop! He's the cutest!!

Do you have any idea why a man named Morcubus would be looking for him?

No! Who's Morcubus? He sounds creepy! Just find my Preston!!

I'll find him, Beebee. Don't worry. What happened out there, exactly?

Well, we were having a snow picnic out by the ranger station, and Preston wanted cocoa!

Sounds like fun...

Everyone crowd in for the group shot!

Seems like what happened there is the key to everything. Thanks, Beebee.

Okay, Beebee. We're done here. Thanks.

Okay... please find my Prezzy!

We excuse ourselves from Beebee and BRANG BRANG

Has Roger mentioned yet that he loves sports and exercise? Because he so does. Anyway, there's only one person in the lodge that we haven't spoken to yet: the 'nutty old lady' Vic mentioned, who owns the place. Let's rectify that.

Hello. I'm investigating the recent disappearance.

Do you know anything about yetis?

... she says, waving around a yeti doll and making 'rarr rarr' noises.

Do you know this yeti personally?

I'm positive I've seen him once or twice. I leave him little notes!

Sam's expression says very clearly that he's not buying this yeti stuff for a moment. And who could blame him? Yetis. Piffle.

What about those two agents, Vic and Rosalyn?

Well, I called them this morning after Beebee told me about the missing boy. I'd like to resolve this as quietly as possible.

I can't imagine something like this helps business.

Oh, very bad for business. The yeti is normally so good for business, too. Just look at this gift shop!

But now...

These people are ruining everything with their baseless fear-mongering!

Thanks, Professor. We're done here.

Okay! Just ask if you need anything or learn anything about that wonderful yeti!

: 'Hello, I'm Professor Nova, and I'm just crazy about yetis! I love yetis! Look, I even skinned a few so that I could wear their lovely pelts and pretend to be a yeti myself!'

Flakes everywhere, and I don't mean the snow kind. Anyway, let's go back outside. There are a few places we haven't checked out yet.

For example, we can use this convenient series of ledges--

--to get up on the lodge's roof. This place has everything. Satellite internet here, a different dish for satellite TV, and, over at the far end of the roof:

A security camera that watches the deck. For no reason at all, examining this camera makes the game zoom in dramatically on it. Sadly, Preston is not up here.

Now we've talked to everyone and been almost everywhere that we can get to for now. I guess we can go look for footprints up around the ranger's cabin--

--sheesh, you guys, some of us are working.

: Next time on MySims Agents: Yetis have big feet, pal. Pretty much by definition.
