Part 19: Chapter 5-2

So we’re outside of the studio of Vickie’s boyfriend, Richard. Potential victim Steph was heading over here.

“Hey Richard!”

“No, not really. I need you to open the gate outside. I have to get into one of the studios.”

“I finally have a lead in my case.”

“Yes, well it’s a person who might know the killer and she’s inside. I really need to talk to her.”

You know Vickie, if Richard turns out to be the killer, you’re going to feel *really* stupid.

For whatever reason, the game sees fit to very slowly follow Vickie and Richard around as they automatically make their way to the gallery.

Well said, Vickie. It would appear that Steph has ceased to be.

Mia then finds her way in, sees what happened and runs right back the way she came.

“Mia! Wait! Shit! I have to stay here and secure the scene. Call the police and go find Mia.”

I’ll be sure not to hunt her down and rip out her guts, tee hee!

Anywho, down here is Steph’s fallen purse.

A grabbable thing…

And it’s a pass for the whorehouse. Maybe now we can get past that ridiculous bouncer.

Another one…

…but Vickie apparently lowered the elevator she took to get here *right* onto some evidence. Kill me.

Speaking of killing, Steph has seen better days. And she has something on her stomach.

Shit, the killer is Bill Goldberg.

Yes, well, the time has long since passed to lament your poor choice of vocation, Vickie.

Anywho, we’ll just check out the garage door over here that Mia ran out of.

Vickie can’t open it…

But she can break off a handy length of chain.

Taking the elevator back up, we need to examine that hook in the middle, and then use the chain on it.

Now that the elevator isn’t sitting on the rose, we can fetch it.

Surprisingly not crushed or anything. Then we can go to leave, but…

Obstructive Police Chief Browning shows up.

“Because I really don’t think he’s relevant to the investigation.”

So Vaclav is in custody. Let’s bother Claire.

Or not. Don’t give a damn about Browning. Let’s head outside.

Deputy Dawg!

Your words will carry me through the harsh storm, Deputy. Now we journey all the way out of here.

But before we leave, we’ll head back in to Richard’s office.

Oh good, he hasn’t gutted Mia like a fish yet.

“Richard?”

“Is she okay?”

“OK listen, try and comfort her as much as you can. I have to go to the office, but keep Mia here and don’t let her out of your sight. Can you do that for me please. She’s important for my case.”

“Thanks. See you later.”

Before we leave, we’ll check out Richard’s desk. He has some…er, interesting screen savers cycling by.

The hell. Anyway, we need the photo of Vickie on the desk here, so we’ll just yoink it straight out of the damn frame.

Yoink.

Now we get out of here and head back to the Office to interrogate Captain Neckbeard.
