Original Thread: Naturally, I knows the Let's Play (Ever17 -out of infinity-)

Introduction

It was eventually given a T-rating for animal abuse, littering, and too many words.

What’s Ever17?
Ever17 –the out of infinity- is part of an interactive Visual Novel (VN) series produced by KID in mid-2002 for the PS2 and PC. Hirameki International released an English version in late 2005, and a remake by 5pb. for the Xbox 360 is expected to be released in Japan on December 1st, 2011.

The description from the back of the PC edition's box is:

"It is May 1, 2017, 12:51 p.m.

Seven people find themselves trapped without warning in the theme park LeMU, 167 feet underwater. Water, air, and food are in short supply, and worse yet, a mysterious virus lurks deep in the ocean. The park is relentlessly assaulted by water pressure, and the protective bulkhead will collapse in the next 119 hours.

Time is limited for the people trapped in LeMU. As they fight to escape, the bonds between them grow stronger - bonds of friendship, and bonds of love.

But time waits for no one, and your time is close to running out. With an ending that packs the ultimate in surprises, what will happen to you? What will you gain when you finally discover the secret of LeMU? And what will you lose?"

What’s so great about it?
I think the fact that there have been at least 3-4 other attempts to LP it in the past can attest to how popular this particular VN is. Personally, it’s the first VN I ever completed and it made me interested in reading other VNs like Fate/Stay Night and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni.

I’ve heard it’s a mindfuck, is that true?
Yes. Yes it is. Unfortunately, that’s also part of why it’s so confusing at times.

Speaking of "fuck", is this one of those hentai/ero games?
Nope.

You said it's ‘interactive’, so that means choices, right?
It most certainly does. However, since this game isn’t quite as direct with Good/Bad Ends like some other VNs (i.e., make a choice and die a gruesome death five seconds later) and you don’t know the result of your decisions until the very end of the route, I'll be doing most of the choice-making.

As it is, you guys will be directing the first run-through almost entirely (I’ll be forcing the protagonist choice, thus “almost”.)

And absolutely no spoilers without the spoiler tags. <>

Other:
This will mainly be an SSLP with videos to augment things here and there. The videos will feature the same content as the update.
